Kauru Local Government Area is located in the southern region of Kaduna State, Nigeria. The administrative headquarters is Kauru town.
The area is home to diverse ethnic groups including the Gbagyi (Gbari), Hausa, Fulani, and other indigenous communities.
Agriculture remains the dominant economic activity with crops such as maize, millet, sorghum, ginger, and groundnuts widely cultivated.
